Is anyone else seeing the same thing I am? I will find a decent run and all the sudden it just peters out the deer just tail off from it. Also seems like its going to be like last year with acorns everywhere and there is no predicting what the deer are going to do other than feed and lay down all fat and happy. I burnt some boot miles yeasterday in 3 areas that normally look real good all year round and not so much yesterday. Let me know what you guys are seeing.

Nuts are falling like crazy down here too man, happened to see deer trails that I hung stand off of and killed a 10 the other morning.... Sat that stand this morning and there were a few does that came in but no shot for my brother in law..checked it out and some of those trails did the same thing.. Best of luck Shawn, I'm sure you will put something down soon...

I frigin choked today!!! I am not the most patient fella so I decided to do a little more scouting and cover some acreage this morning plus I wasnt interested in freezing my a@s of this morning in a tree. So Im sneaking around this old pond not keeping my mind on what I was doing and just when you let down your guard thats when they always show up. I got within 25 yards of an decent size doe feeding and we scared the crap out of each other at the same time. Next thing I know there is deer going everywhere. Oh well theres always after work tomorrow, what a rookie mistake though.

Same thing is happening to me down here..I find a bunch of deer..Set up and by the time I hunt it they have moved..Very frustrating..I have never seen so many oak trees..Acorns everywhere.>And with this mountain laurel down here a deer never has to leave his bedding area to feed..Very frustrating but eventually the nuts will get cleaned up..

Well Skip and myself finally got connected this weekend on some does in CT. Mine finally came through at 10:40am . We were going to sit til 11 then do some scouting around. Finally she come trotting doiwn the trail and I hammered her at 23 yards.
That evening we moved to another spot we had not sat yet. We had only been there about an hour when this doe and another smaller one stepped out. She knew something was not right and turned to leave, But luckily Skip had his Bow madness shooting like a bullet and at 42 yards walking he hammered her perfect and she dropped 40 yards later.
Alot of fun to say the least hunting with Skip and Johnny. I think we laugh more than we hunt sometimes..LOL
Now back to working and no sleep..Good luck eveyone

Cograts on your doe Armand and Skip sounds like you made a great shot Skip. Bone and I passed on another Doe this morning had her at 12 yds. but wasn't sure if she was alone so let her walk that is the third opportunity on a doe that iv'e passed on sooner or later there has got to be something with horns.

Well I busted out of work early and headed to a field where I had been seeing deer every time I went. Skirted the edge and spotted one deer headed to the field about 200 yards from where I wanted to sit. Crept up there and she was know where to be found. I ended up sneaking to the spot I wanted to hunt and put the stalk on 4 deer. Ended up taking a nice doe at 30 yards.

What a night Tracey and i had yesterday. 5:30pm in comes nice doe at 27 yards..That one met the Madness XS real quick..45 minutes later here comes another doe Whack...That one also met the pink muzzy broadhead..She was just over 30 yards..Then right after that not even 2 minutes later here comes a nice buck , stops at 32 and a arrow is sent, unfortunately he ducked and all she got was 3 hairs..That took the wind out of her sails. But thats hunting. She made smokin shots on boith does which dropped in less that 100 yards..Very proud of her for the well placed arrows. And thanks to PSE for her new Bow Madness XS and to Bow Xperts.com for her unreal set up

Hooked up boys. Jumped in my favorite stand last night about 3:30 where I have had good luck in the past. Well the night started out I had 4 pope and young gray squirrels messing around in front of me for 45 min,and as alot of you know in nh, it is down right loud out there right now, leaves are foot deep and wicked dry. Then about 5:30 it got quiet, Wicked quiet, one of them picture perfect nights to be out there, you guys know what I'm saying.I could here something walking a ways off, sure enough Nice Fat Freezer Filling Doe coming my way.She stepped in the shooting lane quartering away at 18 yards, made a perfect shot, both lungs with the pse X-force and the MX-3,she went maybe 40 yards and dropped just outta sight.Nice short tracking,Time to get the knives and freezer paper out.Had a great hunt ,Good luck to everyone.

I'm glad you guys are having a decent season. I passed on a spike horn a week ago but that all that I've had in bow range....until dusk last night! I heard him coming from a long ways away, but when he finally showed himself it was dark enough that I could just barely make out the outline of his rack (decent buck). I didn't have a shot at 20 yards! I am going back there tomorrow night before the front moves through.
