Well at this date it is 34 days til NH and CT opener of bow season. Most of us have had game cameras rolling for atleast a month now and are starting to learn of some beautiful bucks..
Anyone out there hanging stands yet? I used to get crazy and have all 30 up by next week. Toning it down a little this fall and starting to hang now and saving most of my stands for when the deer change their patterns..ALOT of acorns in the trees down here in CT so when they fall everything is going to change.
But from what I am seeing they are patroling the oaks looking for them first ones to fall. Plus chowing down mushrooms along the way..

YES I AM!!!!!!!!

I have about 15 stands hung some for early season and some for later in the season based on past habits. I also have another 5 or 6 ready to go as needed.

I have been lucky enough to already start hunting as I had a pre damage permit and filled it on a nice doe. I also get to start bow season on the 12th in ME and then the 15th in NH. It cant come quick enough!!

Ready ??? Best part of Xpert bow set up is SCREW ON BROAD HEADS AND HUNT..!! My bowxperts.com madness took them Muzzys real well..Seth is a guru when it comes to spine-length-poundage to achive the ultimate in fixed blade Broadhead flight..a Works package from bowxperts lets my mind fix on Buck not my Bow...!!!! The IMPACT POINT IS 1/2 INCH HIGHER THAN MY REGULAR POINTS AT 25YRDS..THATS AMAZING..My scouting started the day last year ended..so my late oct spots are gonna be fun..Phil and I scouted hard from March on and found some new stuff..40 or so ripping single file out of a swampthrough the cut..footy is awesome..Danhue hunts the fresh..fresh..fresh..scouting 5 hours for every hour he hunts..he don't hunt long..and is one of the most consistant killers in the NE... I have watched him for 15 years now this year I'll do the same 5-1...scouting in season hours-hunting hours...These next few weeks drag for me big time...Well bck to the eddy room..Good Luck in your search for a BUCK..!!!

I gotta second that on the bow tune. Bone and I were shooting at my house yesterday and we were dime-ing at 50yrds! Bone was shooting some Muzzy practice tips at 30 or better, dropping the HAMMA!! Mine is shooting just as SWEET! Was shooting my recurve out to 63 and 68 with a couple of da boys in Enfield while waiting for the PSE. That was fun!! Ha! Sure glad I got the Works tune on the PSE! Much mo better!

Im sure people think we just talk this place up because they sponsor us..But honestly folks, we would not use them if they were not the real deal. We even had a few team members find out the difference between how their bows used to get set up and how the do now..Anyone with any doubts call me and I will give you references. BowXperts.com will make your bow shoot like you always dreamed. I have a bow shop 15 minutes from me, but I send my bow to these guys because once you let them help you once everyone else just does not compare. I dont know how to stress it anymore. They are great guys who really do care about the performance of your bow, not just the money in your wallet..
Good luck to you all this fall.. I know when I pull the trigger on my XForce the arrow is hitting its mark. And I will be adding another one to my wall.

On another note, anyone who doesn't have a game camera near water this week is crazy..HAHAHAHa.. These deer have got to be thirsty and because of this heat some of the extra water sources should have dried up..
Once again I wish you all good hunting this fall. I would love to see the hero shots afterwards..

14 days left til the opener..Everyone is being pretty quiet on here.>So that means one of two things..Your all keeping your deer a secret or you slacking and not been out scouting..Haha..
Got a picture of a nice 8 on my camera that I grabbed yesterday. Getting alot of midday movement down here in Ct. Johnny and I hung a double set Sunday and right where he wanted to hang there was a big buck bedded..Guess he picked the right spot. Too bad we jumped him though. Hopefully him and Skip hammer first day down there while I film Tracey hammering one.
Good luck everyone

Yogi's entire clan must have visited my house last night! They cleaned everything up sometime after I baited the stand yesterday. Then when I was headed out to bait my other stand this morning, I saw a good buck...couldn't count points but saw a set of big wide main beams going away from me. Hopefully I'll get a photo of him on my tree camera.

That will get the blood flowing with only 13 days to go. You have any clients for your bear scott? I am keeping my ears open at the shop for anyone asking about bear hunting.

Went out today to scout last section of woods I wanted to check out. Wasn't seeing the sign I wanted until I came up over a knoll to see a REAL NICE wide 8 pointer standing in a swamp. Kinda a bummer he spotted me, watched me for about 2 minutes and then scooted out of there.... few more days.... cant wait

Bone and I scouted an area where I have been watching two BEAUTIES, and found an absolute jackpot stand site for these two bucks! I am so pumped up at this point... I wont make it into the woods until the 19th, but IT IS ON when we get up there. CANT WAIT!!!

Got 3 more good bucks on my trail cams when I checked them yesterday. The acorns down here are ridiculous..Will be hard to pattern anything, got to be in right place at right time I guess. But with so many good ones wandering around something should happen eventually..

Guess i'm ready,Dens and i put up a set of stands in a great spot he found a couple years ago,we're in a hedge row between 2 fields.28 yards from an apple tree that they are hammering.usually i like to wait til the bugs are gone but this spot is worth dealing with them.I also have a 3 pointer that is comming to some apple trees at my house, looks like hes been hit by a car.He has a bad limp and his left fork is bent down over his left eye.Don't wanna shoot young bucks but i don't think he'll make through the winter with the coyote population around here..

I'm feeling ready, hung a stand today in the oaks bordering a 3 year old clear cut. Pulled cam that was in there and had pics of that big eight I have been trying to figure out for th last six weeks.Still in velvet and still running with a small eight and a spike. 80 percent of the pics were in the am too. Going to be an awesome spot I think,Just found it last weekend. And the broadheads are flying sweet .Good luck all.
