Down this way (Connecticut) we are seeing a TON of fawns. A few of our guys up that way I havew talked to also have seen quite a few. Was it a bad feed year near where you are Mike? Maybe the does had a hard time getting food needed last winter and some fawns were lost..Or they are just hiding them real well... Good your seeing alot of bucks though

Im in Northern, VT near Canada and I think our bad winter has played a part in it but also I think our coyote population is bad as well

I have seen a ton of fawns myself, I saw three in 2 miles just the other day at 8:30 in the morning. Went shining sat night and saw probably ten fawns out of the 45 deer we counted. Not much for big buck though,we saw only spikes fours and sixes and not really many of them. I think we only saw 7 buck and 38 doe and fawns.

Mike, I have a friend that lives in calis vt and said the same thing about having no fawns. He blames it on the very high yote population and the very wet june we had in the northeast. As for the large amount of bucks you have seen you can thank the great management program that VT put into effect with the antler restrictions. Everyone I have talked to is seeing more buck up there. Maybe NH will wake up next year.

You guys did better than i did, i went last night and only saw 3 deer but one did have a fawn with her and also saw a coyote.Fog was tough last night though some of the fields i usually shine were like soup, are the fields you guys seeing deer in been cut? The farmers around here are way behing cause of the rain. I tried to get one of my buddys to go out friday night thinking after that heavy rain thursday they would be i the fields looks like i should have given it a whirl solo.
