Well with 2 days left I FINALLY sealed the deal on my last Connecticut bird. Had messed up on them the day before with the bow so I brought in the firepower today. Quick hunt, they flew right down 25 yards away and it was over..My best bird to date..
22 Pounds
11 1/4 beard
1 1/4 and 1 1/8 spurs..
Thanks to Johnny and Skip for tackling this season with me..We had alot of fun...
Come on September!!!!!!!

Any time brotha- I got one day left to put another bird down. What an upset last week as I got busted as I was swinging on the bird with Armand, just finally getting over the frustration behind that, but hey that's hunting.

One bird down and one more to go, the rain came in so heavy this morning I ended early and am praying for a bird to respond tomorrow morning to seal the deal as well. Could be for the best as I want this one's feathers to stay put for a photo. LOL

Good luck to everyone else out there who may be trying to close the season. And yes, Armand, "come on September" we have some big plans for the critters down here.

HAHAHA..I actually am doing alot of working, alot of hunting, and not much sleeping..Haha..But thats how my hunting seasons always go. Im like a zombie, these guys down here think im insane I think..Whole different world from up north where all the die hards do this. Been a great spring considering its all new area to me. Alot of time and fuel ( which has killed my wallet this spring)..But you gotta get out there to get it done right?
Now the deer scouting begins. All the cuddebacks will be out monday starting the inventory of bucks..Let the fun begin!!!!!

Well the season ended exactly how I didn't want it to end down here with one bird in the bag and one tag left to fill...On the bright side, I was able to find plenty of deer activity and will soon be out as well hanging camera's and stands starting in the next few weeks.

Armand and I have both been able to find some wicked sheds down here in CT and hope that both of us can land a giant come fall time.

Hope everyone had a safe and successful turkey season.

JB
