anyone who is interested in what our elected officials are doing in concord should go to new hampshire fish and game web site and check out house bill 132. this is why i was so quick to battle about legislation. this is why everyone who casts a ballot should understand who and what kind of representation you are recieving. there were over 300 outdoorsmen at this meeting last week and they still are going to bring this to vote those 300 also brought a petition to signed by many other outdoorsmen. if this passes and they can get their hands into F&G money the feds will no longer match on what they do now. things like hunter education will no longer recieve federal grants which for instance is how owl brook is run. This is a huge vote in may for the future of what we love all hunters and fishermen better start taking this stuff very seriously. by know means is this some sort of propergander they want to do away with what we do. time to put the phones to work everyone call your state rep and ask them not to vote for this it has been my experience that they will listen to you if you speak in an educated manner, because truthfully they have no education on most of these matters and vote the way they strike a deal with someone in thier party to get a bill they co wrote passed. PLEASE CALL!!!!

I quess i was right when i thought that anyone that supported AR was a cry baby wanting hunting to be easier, cause if you guys truley believed all the crap you spewed to me for weeks about buck to doe ratio and deer herd health this would certainly wind you up. Bone you are the only one that gets it stay true to what your selling the rest of you guys turn of the t.v and learn your own lingo. they vote on this on may 20th if it passes you wont have to worry about AR cause they will grow old and big on their own cause you wont be able to hunt them. we have state reps in concord at the last hearing wearing peta buttons. you better take it seriously!!!!!!

Slow down for a second Pete... I may be wrong, and you may be right... but In my opinion,(and I think others will agree) The NH house and Conress have MUCH BIGGER fish to fry right now than to remove peoples right to hunt in the state of NH or any other state. I am pretty sure they know how much reveniew and employment the seasonal outdoor sports bring to their states, and are not willing to throw it out the window. Does this bill concern me in other areas??? yes. however, this is not one of them. I dont think its very wise to run it about guys supporting AR, because they are the very people who dont care if you want to shoot spikes (to each his own). and they also run this web site LOL.

check out the bill on the fish and game website and tell me if you still think they have bigger fish to fry. there is a woman from cornish that introduced a bill two years ago to ban tracking deer on snow, the same year they were almost successful to ban trapping.I am not bashing your opinion but i have debated with a pile of guys on here who seem so passionate about protecting the health of our deer herd but not step up to the plate and protect all hunters but uniting in one voice and be heard. It is coming where these people will continue to try to take away something that is near and dear to all of us. I am upset that so many hunters sit back and let just a few of us squeak the wheel to make sure we get a little grease. There are far to many examples that this can happen to ignore it for instance new jersey and their bear hunt they no longer have or in california where they wiped out roosevelt elk and mulies in order to make a tourist island or maybe minnesotas dove hunt oh ya and dont forget about massachusetts banning trapping and the problems the beaver have caused and coyotes walking around school yards. Anyone with common sence would say the obvious thing to do in all those situations is to go back to the old way but these people are so set against us they will not use common sence. This thread was here for a week and not one person cared until i insult antler restriction. research the bill if this money gets pooled we will lose all federal matched funds. Think we would have to worry about arguing anymore about antler restrictions. I am hunting and fishing guide in this state i am already seeing the crunch of fish and game this year in the amount of trout being stocked. This stuff keeps coming every year like i said research your vote find out who are friend are before you cast a ballot!!!! The reason they want our money is because the democrats have over spent the last two years increasing the budget 26 percent, and putting the state in a 200 million dollar defficet. If they start getting their way they will protect the moose and we will no longer have that hunt of a lifetime in new hampshire. Maine had a hell of a battle a couple of years ago when the other side was almost able to ban baiting bear in the state. How many guides would that have put out of work do you think? My point is all hunters should broaden their minds and be completely educated on what is going on with our past time and thats all my original post was intended to do was to educate a few of you as to what was taking place at this time.

HEY PETE I don't see one PETE listed on the NH F&G website for LICENSED Hunting guides? Anything else you want to BULLSHIT your way into? If you just want to argue and sputter there are a group of old crochety know it all's that hang out at any Mcdonald's every morning solving all the world's problems. I don't know them personally I have just ran into them while waiting for the check stations to open. I'm sure they would like you.

Pete , to each his own. nh will never go for no hunting, they would lose to much. I am pro AR but I see the otherside. All of us hunters need to stick together we are all out there for the same cause. I think your directing your thoughts in the wrong way. chill out.

I am bullshitting that my name is pete but i did just pass the guide test this year. I do spend alot of time in the woods like you guys. The attitude that it will never happen is incorrect as like the examples i mentioned but when a post is listed like this for a week and noone cares i found it a bit frustrating. My point was that a bunch of guys jumped on me for my opinion and i took it, if someone is so passionate about something i would think they would want to be as educated as possible. I think what you guys put out is great i agree with most of your message and keep up the good work i guess i thought that you guys would want to use what you have established to promote what is going on. You are right though i get real crochety when the folks in concord are trying to do away with what we do. Good Luck and be safe. Oh yeah nice job on the birds guys and bone that is a tough deal with getting an arrow into those toms i have done it four times in the fall dont have the hairs to try it in the spring.

trout fishing has been awsome at times the rain is murdering me in the rivers though but keeping the brookies in tight at the ponds. no sun means not alot of hatches though should be real good all thru the summer the fish and game has put a pile of fish in the rivers and alot of them have been tough to access with the water rising every fourth day.
