Two years ago, after almost falling 24 feet from my tree stand, I bought a Hunter's Safety System tree harnesses. Now I make myself use it when I'm hanging stands, when I'm in my stand and when I'm taking down my stands. It doesn't matter what type of stand I'm in...I use it. I used to hate them because they got in the way, because they took a few extra minutes to set up...I had every excuse. There much simpler to use now...does everyone else use one?

Myself,my girlfriend, and my son all wear hunters safety systems..They work great..I did however cut the threads on the strap to give me another 6-8 inches of room..

I've got a hunters safety system also, used it every time last year but once (forgot it).Won't do that again.I think it gives you confidence, not only for safety reasons but to make some akward shots from 20feet+

I feel much more comfortable with it on especially getting into, out of and while leaning out over the stand. I use the rope/carabener/climbing not system with my harness and it works well. I saw a new product thought that is like a retractable seatbelt that attaches to the harness. It retracts as you climb the tree and has a safety system built into much like the seatbelt of a car. Have any of you tried this system?
