On this night Matt and I headed back to the Vermont stand I had shot my 2 does out of. It had not been sat in the evening so we figured lets try it. With all the apples and a few bucks being in there we felt we had a good chance. Temps were very warm for October, about 70 degrees.Not ideal for hunting. We got all settled in and the wind died at about 5:45PM..Well nothing was really happening and we were actually getting ready to call it just before dark because I was almost out of camera light. Then Matt heard something coming from below us where the deer usually bed. At first we thought he was a spike (not legal in VT) and then I see Matt start to draw and see he was a 3 point. Well I got the camera all set on him and when he turned broadside we both gave him the "Blah". Matt settled the pin and squeezed the trigger. Perfect shot and the deer ran about 30 yards, stopped, and rolled down the bank. Great shot with the X Force and great hunt.
