I was able to find some birds heading to roost the evening prior to opening morning. After several run in's with coyotes at sunrise my brother in law and I were about to pack up as I noticed a hen pop out into the field quickly followed by about 15 birds. I was able to call them to about 10 yards before I had a shot at this guy and dropped him were he stood.
