Well it wasnt what I wanted to be dragging out on a friday evening but ya gotta clean the coyotes when you can. Got into stand around 4ish. New area for me..got settled..Around 4:50..I hear footsteps. I get up grab the bow and clip on the release. Turn to look over my left shoulder from where the steps are coming from and keep a close eye. I catch movement and realize its a coyote. Well I watch as he is coming along and figure if he gets to my lane I will shoot..Well sure enough he does and I send a couple kisses out and he stops in his tracks..25-30 yards and I set his vitals between my two pins. I release and watch as the arrow slams its target. Cleary saw that I smoked this little guy. As well as the fact that he only ran or shall I say did the heebee jeebees 10yards and dropped. Didnt see any deer for the night but was fun to slam this little guy..Gave me a good boost of confidence on shots.
