Matt Fowle November 24, 2007 Headed in the woods just breaking daylight,when I saw this buck feeding under an apple tree on the edge of the woods between two fields .We then made our move ,about 300 yards from the deer there was a tree line,knowing the deer was going to have to cross a big corn field I tried to get us to the corner of the woods he was in when we looked up and he had his nose to the ground running right to us. He got 190 yards and stopped on the edge. The buck was almost a straight on shot with the thompson center encore 300 win. mag, breighton set his sights on the front shoulder and folded the deer in his tracks,he jumped up and only ran about 70 yards and piled up inside the woods.
