Vermont - Bow October 17, 2007 8 Pointer 131lbs. Bow: Mathews Drenalin Broad Head: Grim Reaper Razortip Camo: Real Tree Dream Season It's been a crazy season! After hunting a certain spot for quite some time, the land got posted this year pushing me out of my honey hole, so I had to change things up. I found a new hot spot in a prime alfalfa field. October 16, 2007, I harvested a 121 lb. doe and I was back in the same spot going after a six pointer I had seen four or five times, unfortunately never stepping in closer than 100 yards. At 5:30pm, Mr. Eight Pointer (NOT six pointer) had fed his way within 32 yards. I let the arrow fly, watching it catch him in the backbone. Knowing that wasn't the best shot, instinct kicked in and I made a double lung shot at 35 yards with the second arrow. He didn't go far after that! I found him after dark by the glow of the Luminok. What a rush! I have never been so excited in all my time hunting. When you know you're on a hot streak, keep on hunting! Two deer in 24 hours! All tagged out in Vermont
