MY VERY FIRST BUCK!! MY VERY FIRST DEER! I got this buck in NH, my third evening out hunting with my boyfriend Armand (Real Deal Pro Staff). We had sat on an apple tree the first night out, and didn't have much luck, but last night I got a great shot at this buck. He had first come in at about 42 yards but didn't stay there long enough to get a shot. He then came out at about 21 yards, but we were daydreaming and missed the opportunity for a shot! Thankfully he circled around coming only 17 yards from us! We thought I may have shot him a little back so we left him overnight giving him a little time to expire. Found him this morning bedded down only about 50 yards from our stands. Not bad for my very first deer, very first buck, very first time hunting deer period! AND, he's in velvet! Doesn't get much better than that!
