Hello everyone, Bone here ... I had the privilege on this night to take one of my long time friends, Doug Daniels, hunting with me. I first hunted with Doug about 12-14 years ago. Back then, I had no clue how to hunt and Doug took me under his wing and showed me the ropes. Putting me in his best spots, letting me fling arrows at all his scouted deer. I can not tell you how much this man has taught me. He is a tremendous woodsman, and an incredible person to have as a friend. Doug and I hooked up to go sit in one of my honey holes in New Hampshire. Once there, the acorns were raining and big buck tracks were present. We knew we were into them then. Later that evening Doug spotted a rack in the brush but the buck got down wind and slipped out of there. Trying to call him back with my RACKER grunt call, Doug
heard something else coming. All of a sudden, at 8 yards, out pops this HUGE buck. Before I knew it, Doug was drawn and the arrow sent through the boiler. The buck went down 20 yards later. I can't tell you how much this hunt means to me. To finally be able to hunt with Doug again. It finally came full circle.Congrats Doug on a great buck and a great shot.
